Shoes - You will need shoes for your wedding. You can buy some great shoes from bridal boutiques or you can go to a dance shop and buy some soft dancing shoes (like for ballroom dancing). When choosing your shoes remember you will have to wear them all day and you must be comfortable, as there is a lot of standing to do. (I remember that I was in agony by the time I got out of the church!
Bouquet -When choosing your bouquet try to imagine how it will look with your dress and get flowers to complement your colour schemes. If you are going for fresh flowers collect pictures of bouquets you like and discuss with your florist your choices for seasonal blooms.If you want something less traditional or to keep forever why not have a crystal bouquet? Or have some crystals added in with your flowers.
Veil -Veils are down to personal preference and they are great, but don’t feel you need one if you don’t feel comfortable wearing one. Veils come in various lengths to reach your elbows, fingertips or the floor. Have a play around with different sizes when you have your dress fitting. Veils also can come with beautiful details so you can match them up with your dress.
Bag - There are some exquisite bridal bags on the market so if you want one shop around. Bear in mind that you may not have hands to hold it though. So if you would rather go without get your chief bridesmaid a matching dolly bag and add your things into there for her to look after instead.
Garter - No bride is complete without a garter, so choose one you love, borrow one or have a blue one. It will make you feel sexy and is a bit of fun.

I just wanted to share with you a few pieces I have been working on over the last few weeks.

First of all for Kay.

Kay wanted a Daisy comb which would match her earrings she already has, after a consultation via email I sketched a few ideas for Kay

Kay chose her favourite, we made some design changes, and then I began work on her comb.
This is the finished piece:

"I found Bespoken For on the web after a long and disappointing search for a hair comb for my wedding. I am a 'mature' bride so didn't feel as though I fitted the standard bridal model. Jenni listened to my ideas, produced several designs and choices for me and today I received my beautiful hair comb. It was beautifully wrapped and presented with lovely little touches. I won't tell you what they are - so you get the 'wow' factor like I did on opening the parcel!!! This comb is going into my keepsake box after the wedding and I hope that one day I will have a granddaughter who will wear it on her wedding day. Thank you Jenni.xxxxx"

This is a quick post as I have to continue the preparation for the vintage wedding fair this Sunday.
I love wedding fairs, it is so lovely to meet brides and talk about their weddings face to face. Most of my business is online and I liaise via email and phone, so wedding fairs offer me something I can't resist.

I recently was commissioned to make a necklace and bracelet for a bride using her Grandmother's pearls. I though this was a beautiful way to include sentimental personal touches in your jewellery for the special day.

Behind the Scenes of our Beach Shoot

After months of work and many twists and turns all our planning came together for our photoshoot on 20th May, despite 3 models letting us down somehow we were so lucky to get two very beautiful ladies to model for us the night before the shoot.

The day was beautiful, so we were able to venture round the corner to the beach at the end of the day, where our modes were able to get their feet wet and let their hair down. The photos will launch our new collection due June 2011, but for those of you with eagles eyes you may get a sneek peek now.

Please note these are my photos, not the photographers, I am awful at photography. Can't wait to share the new collections.

Why I Rejoice at Refunds?

I have been in a position where I have felt disapointed with purchases, I have been a bride struggling to get guidance and know what will work and what won't and I made it my mission when I set up my business to find the answers and share them with brides and to make the accessories they so desire.

So why do I rejoice at Refunds?

Refunds and returns are so rare in my business, because I make everything myself I try to be open and honest and I know that when you are a bride sometimes things just aren't right, you want the best and you want to be confident that if it is not right you can get a refund, restyle, repair or replacement.

I decided to have a thorough guarantee, that basically says if you don't love what I do for you, I will do whatever I can to put it right, be it a refund, a restyle or a replacement. You want perfection and so do I. I also want an honest open relationship with my customers, where you can feel confident to tell me if it is not right for you.

I am really good at taking complaints, whilst I feel the upset, but I quickly put the pain aside, listen, learn and try again and again to improve.

I studied drama at A'level, where I had to take direction and understood to get perfection you sometimes have to take the criticism and deal with it constructively. I then went on to work in customer services for an international insurance company, where complaints came in thick and fast.

Finding out what customers really think improves my work, focusses my mind and improves the service for all my brides.

Today I had a small complaint the customer said "I have just received the necklace. First thoughts are that I thought it would be longer at the back and have more swarovski crystals to justify the £xx price. I do think that the necklace is very pretty and will look nice on, however can't help but feel slightly disappointed. I am grateful that you managed to get it to me in time, and I thank you for that."

So when I read this I felt so sad, I felt how disappointed my customer was. I was particularly sadden as I knew I could have made this cheaper for her had her order arrived earlier, but because her order arrived at 6.30pm Thursday evening and she required the order Saturday I had a very small timescale I was also fully booked Friday with appointments and photoshoots, (plus I am a full time mother!). This left me only Thursday evening to work, having to put her order above pending orders, working overtime and then posting Friday morning with royal mail special delivery saturday guarantee, which meant I had no choice but to charge more for overtime and postage.

The item the customer wanted was not in stock and nor were it's components, so I had to make a bespoke piece using components I had in stock based on the design of the piece, as time was so limited there was no time to adjust or redesign the piece.

I normally ask for 4 weeks to process orders and longer for bespoke, this is often due to the fact that I rarely make the same pieces twice, I don't keep huge stocks of certain components and I order materials as orders come in, this means that sometimes I have to wait up to 14 days before I can even begin work.

I have a genuine desire to make brides their perfect accessories and meet their needs. I get so tired of seeing overpriced imports of cheaply made mass produced jewellery with no heart in it. I also worry that brides who buy that piece may turn around to find it in a store half the price that they paid and I don't want my customers to go through that disappointment, I care far too much.

My accessories are all make by hand here in the UK, I try to source my materials from within the UK and Europe, keeping the air miles down and the money in our economy rather than sending it abroad. This means that I don't always get the cheapest price for my materials, but I do know where they come from. I have a real desire to give my customers the best. I want to give them exactly what they are looking for, I put in more than just a few beads, I add myself in what I do and try to give that personal touch.

So in this case I thanked the customer for her honesty explained why I sadly had to price this piece higher than I would have like to and offered a full refund if she wants to return it. Of course it means that I will not got paid for my work on this piece, but I care more that my brides feel happy with their purchase, and so far 100% of my customers say they would recommend me and I really hope that this customer too would feel happy to recommend me, despite her disappointment.

So what work goes into creating the perfect piece of bridal jewellery?

The complexity of the design influences the how long a piece may take, whereas some pieces are minutes, others take days to put together and then there is the extra time for trial and error. I am a perfectionist. Once I have a piece designed and made, I then take time to photograph it and email over the pictures so we can see and work together to make any obvious adjustments. This allows me to amend and change prior to postage. Even for a pair of earrings it can take an hour to 3 hours to do this as making jewellery can be a fiddly task, and photographing is difficult due to the reflective nature of the metals, pearls and crystals.

Then there is the photo editing and the email which also adds to the time taken for every single piece. Once we have liased via email and the customer is happy for me to post, I then personally wrap pack, tie a ribbon and write the guarantees, then walk to the post office to post.

Royal mail prices are rising all the time as I send jewellery the majority of orders are sent special delivery which costs over £5 per package.

On average when I add up the times of all these tasks I spend 4 hours working on every order! Some pieces have taken weeks to complete. When I price my jewellery I have to cover the costs of running the business, costs of sourcing the best materials, and cost for my time. Because I am skilled and highly experience at what I do my hourly rate has to be above the minimum wage.

I always strive to do my best and when brides do return or complain (I have only had 3 returns in the last 4 years!) I am so upset that the bride was dissappointed or it wasn't right, but I relish the rare opportunity to use their experiences to improve what I do, I thank them so much for letting me know, I ask them for their opinions as to how I can be better and I do resign to the fact that sometimes it is the brides prerogative to change their mind and that I cannot always please everyone all the time, and I am happy to refund or replace.

So how can you avoid accessory disappointment:

don't leave ordering your jewellery till last minute, give yourself time, this means you can get any adjustments changes you need, you can also find the perfect piece and the piece you want.
Give exact measurement where possible, so we can avoid any preventable adjustments.
If you have left it to last minute though, why not order a bespoke to go, ready to wear instock one off design, that you can see is perfect and I can post tomorrow. (these will be available on my new look website due to launch June 2011!)

Foot pain from shoes and high heels is like hell on earth, feet swell the shoes get tight, they rub, pinch and give blisters. Who wants to step out for their first dance limping? or worse having spent good money on that perfect pair - to find yourself barefoot on your big day!

I speak from experience ladies, losing the shoes mid day, may be tempting but it means; a harder job for the dry cleaner as your dress now 3 inches longer drags like a mop round the floor, collecting confetti, food and spilt champagne or beer (YUK!); You also end up with the filthiest blackest feet you have ever seen, which also means you better get praying, that no-one drops their glass, blood on your wedding gown or a trip to A&E is not how you want your day to end. Even if you only have black feet it's not very romantic for you first night; Who wants to start married life seeing your new wife moaning & rubbing filthy feet! Even if you only meant to release them from their prison for a minute, as you do try to slip those shoe's back on your feet seem to have swelled so much that they just won't fit and oh my the pain has suddenly intensified- it's like you've gone from Cinderella at the ball to being the ugly sister in seconds!

So how do you avoid this scenario?

Here are my top tips:

1. When choosing you shoes, do so after you have been walking and shopping and wearing heeled shoes all day, your feet will then be in a 'realistic' state when you try shoes on. If you slip them on and think - Wow, they are so comfortable then that's the Cinderella slipper feeling!

2. Invest in some gel cushions to fit under the balls of your feet, if your shoes don't have their own padding. It will really provide that much needed comfort when you need it most.

3. Wear those shoes in well before the big day! I know we'd rather keep them sacred in the box, but trust me you will regret it if you are not used to them! - See the Video's by the Bridal coach for some great tips, the link can be found below.

4. Choose a heel height that is realistic for you and your spouse. If your partner is shorter than you or similar in height, opt for flats or kitten heels as, big height differences will be obvious in photographs. If the heel is close to that you normally wear, they will be more comfortable.

5. Whatever you choose, you need to be able to walk and dance in them, so get lots of practice. about the house or wherever. Buy another pair similar in height and wear them every where. You need to feel confident as you glide down the aisle, keep you head up and walk from heel to toe confidently in your dress. Don't forget if your dress is long, you also have that to deal with so at least if you are great in you shoes, it won't unbalance you.

6. Buy the best shoes you can afford. The designer shoes often have extra comfort features such as padded soles, leather inners and will be much better for your feet. I particularly love the shoes by Rachel Simpson who has such beautiful designs as seen in the pictures.

7. Shoes with straps or fastening will provide extra support and stop them flip flopping and causing blisters.

8. Some fabrics for shoes give more than others and some won't stretch and mould to your feet well, get measured and get the right size and the right fabric finish for you.

9. Match your style, just because white is traditional it doesn't mean you have to go with the flow, your shoes are likely to be coverd up so why not add your own personality to them. I love bright coloured shoes and we love to add shoe clips to decorate them easily.

10. Love your shoes, whilst they must be functional and practical, with no love then there is no joy! Choose a pair you will really love, that will make you feel beautiful, stride out confidently and smile whenever you think about them.

Avoid Wedding Colour Disaster

The use of colour in your wedding scheme really can enhance your look and style. When it comes to choosing colours don’t feel that you have to just stick to one shade or one colour. Colours work best with colours.

You probably already have a colour scheme in mind for your wedding. Be prepared to be flexible with it, as unless you intend to wear the colour yourself, you must consult with everyone who you want to put in that colour.

For your bridesmaids you must bear in mind that not all colours suit every skin tone. Choose your colour scheme with your bridesmaids in mind, ask them what colours they like and what colours suit them. I know this only too well, I am pale skinned and when I was a bridesmaid trying on dresses, my sister picked out a lovely lilac she had thought about. On the Maid of Honour it looked lovely, but on me.. well I looked ill, the colour washed my skin tone and drained me!

Skin tones are either warm or cool. Cool skin tones have blue undertones and look great in pastels, dusky pinks, reds, certain shades of blue, hot pinks and aqua greens. With cool skin tones avoid earthy shades as these will look bad. Warm skin tones have pink undertones and suit spices, caramels, beiges, oranges, greens and peaches, but don’t suit bright shades so well. A rule of thumb is to normally go three shades lighter or darker than the skin tone to avoid draining the colour from them.

My top tip for choosing your colour scheme is pop to your local DIY shop and get some paint charts. These are great as they have so many shades and tones. Show them to your bridesmaids and hold the colours up to their skin to see if they react to them. This is an easy and cheap way and can be done easily over coffee rather than getting undressed and trying clothes on. Think also about the season of your wedding as certain colour schemes work best in certain seasons.

Once you have some shades you can cut them out of your paint chart and take them to the wedding shop to try and match up with their swatches. You may not get the exact shade but you should find something close.
The great thing about using paint charts is they often match colours up for you, so you are shown what colours work well together and this can really help style your whole wedding look. When working with colour you can do three things:
1. Use lighter or darker shades of one colour to add depth and class.
2. You can co-ordinate colours to complement each other.
3. You can use contrasting colours, to add vibrancy and effect.

If you look at a colour wheel you will see that complementing colours sit next to each other where as contrasting colours are opposite each other. Too much of any one colour will make the overall look bland and tasteless, so don’t get stuck on just one colour.
If you really lack confidence in co-ordinating your colour scheme, opt for white and accessorise with colour. You will find that you can create a stylish look simply and effectively.

We loved the Royal Wedding, I particularly loved the down to earth feel and natural modest elements.

Kate wore a stunning dress by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, with lace detailing, a V neck and satin train with embroidered detail.

Her bouquet was British with lily of the valley and the maple trees lining Westminster Abbey really added a natural feel to what is such a magnificent venue for your wedding. The ivory and green colour scheme worked so well with all the grandeur of the Royal decor & spleandor.

Kate also borrowed a tiara from the Queen, well who wouldn't and as I predicted tiaras are still hot trends for brides on their big day, the diamond style tiara graduated to a point and was approximately 3-4cm tall & wore her hair half up. the look was complemented by diamond drop style earrings.

Wearing a veil to fingertip length was also a wonderful style choice for the Duchess of Cambridge and it echoed the scalloping lace edge of her very modest gown.

The whole day had vintage style, that echoed the glamour and style of the 40's & 50's, our favorite touch was as the couple drove off in the convertible Aston Martin with personalised plates & balloons.

Whilst the Royal Wedding had a budget that all of us could only dream of the style was simple, natural and one which brides and grooms can achieve for their own day.

So often brides and people are under the illusion that they can make a tiara easily or cheaper, well yes it is possible to buy the beads and supplies at a cheaper price, but once you have them then you need to consider.

Do you have the tools to finish the job?
Have you experience in making such pieces?
Do you know the tricks of the trade to get a professional finish?
Have you the knowledge and training, have you read the books taken the course and know all the techniques?
Do you know which beads are the best for the tiara you want?

The Symbolism of Engagement Rings

The consensus of opinion is that the engagement ring idea was first developed by the Romans and the Greeks around two and a half thousand years ago. The Roman versions were described as ‘betrothal’ rings and were often made from iron to symbolise the permanence of this betrothal. One of the traditional ideas was that the ring would resemble a key or have a key symbol within it. This symbolised a key to unlock the heart of the groom and also unlocking a new life for the bride to be!

A few years later in 860 A.D., Pope Nicholas the First decreed that a gold ring was to be the official symbol of a couple’s decision to marry. Gold was chosen to signify the financial sacrifice that the groom would make but I am sure that the durability and desirable colour were other reasons.

Gems soon started to appear in engagement rings and in the 15^th century it became a tradition to have a diamond. Royal families were setting the trend with stone set engagement rings and other precious stones made there way onto the rings. Symbolically ruby stood for love, emerald for home and diamonds for fidelity and the strength of the relationship.

As with the materials being stooped in symbolism, the choice of finger was not just purely random. A vein in the ring finger, vena amoris, was believed to lead directly into the heart. With the heart being the symbolism for love, this finger was a suitable choice.

Speeding into the 20^th century, with the help of excellent marketing from DeBeers, the engagement ring has become an almost essential purchase for any couple in a serious relationship. Whereas some may not be a happy about the effectiveness of DeBeers marketing, especially the idea that the ring should cost 3 months salary, you cannot argue that the engagement ring has become a symbolic, desirable and important article of modern times.

I found Jenni through a Google Images search, looking for Tiara's - I had tried Bridal shops but they were Over the top in everyway especially price, I searched the internet and could find nothing at a sensible price or indeed that I liked, I wanted something that sparkled and caught the eye, that wasn't too "in your face" so to speak - partly as all the ones I had seen were not anything special as they were all "would dos" not WOW or that's perfect. Then I came across Jenni, and BeSpoken For. Initially I must admit being very cautious but Jenni soon put me at ease. Through many e-mails I did my best to describe the dress and what I was looking for, then came Jenni's sketches to see what I liked, she is fantastic at interpreting the somewhat confused descriptions I gave her to come up with ideas, then I e-mailed back to say which ones I liked and didn't or in my case after the second set of sketches I actually photo-shopped 2 of her sketches into one and sent it back - was easier than describing it, Jenni was amazing, the sketch came back and it was perfect and that was just the sketch!! She then sent me photos of the beads and bits to be used in the Tiara and then a few days later a sample card arrived, just in time to co-inside with a visit to the Bridal Showroom. When we saw the sample card and sketch with the wedding dress we got a shock - parts of the dress that I honestly didn't remember and some I hadn't seen at all - were reflected in the dress!!! The shape of the navette diamante was the same as was featured in a jewel encrustation on my dress, the flower bit I discovered looked well with my dress but then I found that on my dress there were real sparkly flowers attached something I hadn't seen before - wearing it you miss bits so take a look at your dress hanging up so the bodice is eye level and my goodness do you see the detail then and the sketch was perfect with my dress, all thanks to Jenni's skill and interpretation of my somewhat muddled information!!!! Jenni is fantastic at all she does her dedication, skill and communication are second to none but apart from that she is a wonderful person who is genuine and caring and she wants nothing more than to make it perfect for you and she goes that extra mile to make sure it is - choosing Jenni to do my Tiara and 2 Bridesmaids grips was the best decision I made, and I would recommend her to anyone. Tell her as much as you can even if you think its irrelevant the more you tell her the more she can see what's in you and figure out what you are looking for - and all this by e-mail without meeting her client - now THAT is pretty spectacular!!! But the best is still to come, an e-mail landed in my inbox with a pdf portfolio and my jaw dropped - contained in that e-mail was images of my finished pieces the presentation was stunning never mind the tiara and hair grips - they were breathtaking. I forwarded the e-mail to my mum, my bridesmaids and to the Bridal Showroom, the girls in the Bridal Showroom replied immediately and were stunned - I got a phone call from them saying that they were so stunned by the tiara they had printed it out and taken it upstairs to the Sample of my dress and they could not believe how perfect a match it was, especially as Jenni had never seen the dress or any part of it, she had designed it only from our e-mails. When it arrived it was breathtaking I loved it instantly, though couldn't figure out how it went on so took it to my hairdresser who figured it out, but it didn't sit quite right, Jenni was amazing and more concerned with getting it right and perfect so I returned it to her for alteration - how many people would do that for you, not many.

Jenni is one in a million, as a person, in business and in her eye for detail and design, the way she can interpret your descriptions by e-mail and then design something completely unique and to your budget, talking to Jenni is like talking to your sister or your bridesmaid, she wants the best for you and goes all out to get it too. Have no hesitation in choosing Jenni to design your Bridal Accessories, she does it all - even necklaces and earrings all matching - she did do a few sketches for me but my Bridesmaids over ruled me - not because of Jenni they loved her designs but because they both had something that could wear that was special to them and they knew it would save me a little money too, but the sketches Jenni did were fantastic and even though we decided not to go with them Jenni didn't mind at all.

The service you receive from Jenni is far beyond what you would receive from anyone else, I would recommend her to anyone.....even the soon to be bride Kate Middleton.....THAT is how good Jenni is. One in a Million.

How to Make A Bespoke Tiara

If you are brave enough to attempt to make your own tiara here's how to do it.

First of all you are going to gather all the supplies. You will need:

Round Nose Pliers, preferably with fine tips to get into the tight spots.
Snipe Nose Pliers, again the finer the better, I love the ones by beadsmith or lindstrom.
Wire cutters, preferably fine jewellery or electrical cutters that have a flush cut, don't go for cheap ones, they don't cut very well at all and don't use the ones you can buy at the DIY shop they just are too bulky.
1-1.5mm thick wire to make the band or a manufactured band (these can pinch so we prefer to make ours)
.40mm wire to do the detail, not too thick as won't work easily or too thin as it may snap and break
Selection of beads to put on the tiara. We like to use Swarovski, you pay a bit more but the cut is brilliant so your tiara dazzles, freshwater pearls are lovely as are seed beads. You can purchase cheaper czech cut glass beads, but they are not as sharp and don't have the dazzle of swarovski. Don't use acrylic or plastic as these will look cheap, the tiara will also feel light and won't make you feel as special as you deserve.

Glue to secure beads and ribbons
Good light to work under,
a suitable space at a desk or table, you can also purchase bead boards which are handy. On your lap or sofa is not ideal.

Ok so now you have all your equiptment together the next step is to design your tiara. Don't copy a designers work it isn't ethical you need to think about exactly what you want from your tiara. Do you want sprays, do you want it to be encrusted with beads and diamante? do you want it to be tall or short? Sketch your ideas. have a look for inspiration in magazines, nature, from shapes and forms of things you love.

Once you have a design your are ready to begin making it.
The design you choose will influence the techinques you need to bring it to life, Many tiaras are simply beads on long wire stems twisted. Others are intricately woven, some are threaded together to form shapes and leaves and flowers.

4 Tips to Avoid Accessory Disappointment.

Dealing with brides on a daily basis I often find that they leave choosing their jewellery and accessories till last minute. Whilst this is fine if you plan to buy off the peg ready made pieces, if you are wanting something special then leaving it till last minute is really not an option, as bespoke jewellery takes time.

Choosing your wedding accessories is almost as important as choosing your dress, the wrong accessories can make your very expensive and stunning gown look cheap and spoil your day, whereas getting they right key pieces can really make you look a million dollars.

Here are our tips for avoiding disappointment:

Start looking for accessories as soon as you have bought your dress. Note the dresses detailing, colour, neckline & finish. To find out what would work best you can download my free book "the modern brides Jewellery guide" which explains how to choose jewellery.
Decide what accessories you would like to wear, and what you need to buy
Enquire about your jewellery at least 6 months in advance if you can (4 weeks before the wedding minimum) the earliest you can book and begin the design process the better this gives time for adjustments and reworks if needed. It also means you can have your jewellery ready for your dress fittings and hair trials.
Set aside enough budget to invest in your jewellery, it is important and you are more likely to wear it again than you are your dress. You really do get what you pay for, if you want a cheap tiara, then there are a range of retailers on the high street selling mass produced plated pieces cheap, but if you want an heirloom, custom made unique piece, made from the best materials, by quality craftsmanship and designed by leading companies, that takes time and will cost money.

I always love to look at wedding dresses, your dress is such an important part of your big day, it is so essential to choose the right dress for you.

From personal experience I did not listen to this advice, I chose the first and only dress I tried with a "that'll do!" response, It didn't even do up as I had only given birth 6 weeks prior to this and hadn't even planned to visit any bridal boutiques, I just happened to be in one for a bridesmaids dress fitting!

Looking back now, whilst I loved my dress I wish I had taken time out to try, to plan and enjoy shopping for dresses. It is an occasion for memories and to savour. Who knows, I may still have chosen the wonderful Maggie Sottero gown still, but perhaps I would just have a few more memories.

Great Local Shops I love are Award Winning Abigail's Collection in Colchester and Grace & Lace in Ipswich and well perhaps I will have to visit a few more to enjoy my lack of dress shopping.

Tip 1. Be open to suggestions from those close to you. Friends and family can often

give great ideas that one would normally not think of.

Tip 2. Intricate Creations love telling a story with our stationery. From the first

What inspired you to start your business?

I was about to be engaged in college, and as a graphic design major, I started getting really obsessed with wedding invitations. I love how they're such a small package announcing such a big, important event, and the designs can be so varied, unique, and beautiful. I eventually decided to become a web designer, but I've started building web applications devoted to wedding invitations, to showcase my love for the product and to make things easier for both couples and vendors.

What are your favourite products/designs?

You can't mention wedding invitations without mentioning letterpress, which is such a beautiful medium. Don't listen to people who tell you what you should have or should do. It should be an event focused on *you* and your love!

I've recently seen a lot of beautiful invitations featuring hand-drawn or hand-painted features — it's such a great way to get a totally personalized invitation that's beautiful and high impact. Ten Top Tips for Choosing Garters

1. Measure your thigh and order a garter that is made to fit you, order the size in which your leg is in the middle, if it is too tight, you will be uncomfortable, if it is too big, it will slip and fall off.

2. When choosing a garter, go for one that you love, if you love it you will wear it again.

3. For maximum comfort choose a garter in which the elastic is covered, this will be much more comfortable.

4. You may have to show it for photos, so wear it on your best leg.

5. Don't wear your garter too high, it may rub your inner thigh.

6. Don't wear your garter too low or it may slip off.

7. Fit your garter just above your knee, on the leg you find it most comfortable.

8. If you are going to toss your garter then, take care removing it, you want to save your underwear for your other half not your guests.

Back in Nov 2010 I was approached by a lovely lady named Karen to design her tiara for her wedding. Karen is a lovely lady who knows exactly what she likes and doesn't like, so after several sketches we finally found a design that is perfect.

We love to stand out from the crowd when it comes to wedding and themes are a great fun way to add your personal stamp to your day. However if done badly may ruin the whole ambience of your special day.

Great easy themes that are tasteful and high on trend are: Garden Party, Vintage Tea party, Beach Comber,

For the more adventurous you may like movies, or James bond glamour.

5 Tips to avoid Tacky Themes:

1. - Less is more - don't overdo the decoration and trimmings, too much is a recipe for disaster
2. - Choose a colour scheme, 2-4 colours is a good starting point and stick with it unless your theme is tropical then all the colours of the rainbow are a must.
3. - Creat a mood board, cut out what you like to help you decide what works and have it on show when decorating.
4. - Brief your helpers make sure that they know exactly what you want and what you don't want, before you start decorating and buying supplies. Saves upset when stress levels are high, if you don't make it clear who will?
5. -Keep it simple - sometimes the best ideas are the simplest.

Your wedding jewellery is an important purchase for your wedding. When choosing your wedding jewellery you have to consider many factors and as your jewellery will have sentimental value you need to purchase with investment and style.

Before choosing your wedding jewellery you should choose your wedding dress. Then you can begin to complement your wedding gown with suitable accessories and jewellery that will complement the dress.
